The Magic of Hats and the Worlds they Bring

The Hat Realm
*
Hats
are
Powerful
Inspiring....
even
Mysterious

There are even those truly special  Hats..
that are
Filled
with Magical energies

Hats are Creative
*
They invoke the Magician within
and Dance with Creative energy
*
Hats invoke a spectrum of abilities
and can also represent a person who carries
Vast Energies...
The Many different skillsets, talents and abilites,
qualities and Gifts one has tapped into
*

Hats as... Disguise
They can Both Hide and Reveal
Hidden Knowledge
Hidden Identity
*

Hats as Shapeshifters
Hats can charm you..
They can charm you into many different worlds
They can transport you into New Roles
and Ignite New Pathways to walk upon
*

Hats also create protection from the elements,
they are comforting in some way
The can cloak or disguise
and empower as well
*

Hats captivate me..

Simply placing one upon my head..
makes me feel like I am about to embark
on some secret symbolic journey..
an epic-adventure
like the Enchanted Fool in the Tarot
Walking into a World
of Metaphor and Dreams
and shapeshifting
between the realms
of time space and beyond

what do they make you feel?

Hats are Inspiring
They adorn us with a sense of character and persona
and Expression
they embody a sense of awe
they can conjure the invisible
The Magician's hat is like a portal
 for Transforming Creative Energies
*
where do all those rabbits come from!?

Phrases of hats...

A place to hang your hat
*
wearing many hats
***

Shapes of Hats
are also interesting
*
Conical Energy/Pyramidal Forces
..a wizard's or witches hat..invokes energy and creates energy.
*
Round~ Spherical energy, circular dome,
the rim; round/ never ending like a ring,
or like an Orb of Creation

Hats inpsire me..they are spellcasters of Wonderment
They instantly transform me
I feel the magic!
we all love to try on hats..don't we!

Hats as Treasures
I also love hats that once belonged to others..
*
A reconnection with special souls
*
I have a few that belonged to my Grandfather
They are truly special to have!
*
There is just something special about Hats..
Mythic, Mystic,
Magical and Symbolic
and Meaningful
*
~Victoria Pettella~

Do you have a special hat?
Do you have a secret love for them?
Hope there are many Hat Kindreds out there...
*
Wishing you
the Magic
of The Hat Realm
and the Worlds
they bring to life ...

Hello dear friend....I, too, love hats....altho....I don't often wear them in AZ because it is so awfully hot most of the time. I have collected them for years and have them displayed around various parts of my home...as you have done with your wonderful photos.

You know, my grandfather wore hats and even tho I don't have one of his I have photos....and he looks so dapper and debonaire....ah takes one back to a gentler time!!

Thank you for giving me so many ideas about hats - thoughts that never crossed my mind before... Food for thought for sure!

I confess to not being much of a hat person. My hair is difficult enough to control at the best of times without messing it up with a hat!

Having said that, this weekend I bought a hair piece (not quite a hat I admit). It was a feathery creation to wear to a party. My son asked me why I had a dead bird on my head and my boyfriend laughed his socks off. I took it back to the shop :(

Good morning my friend...I adore hats! I was never brave enough, but now I am in my forties, I wear them with glee! I love them for dress-ups, or in winter you will find me in a floppy woolen beret or a little peaked number made of wool. In summer, I favour cowboy hats, or big floppy sunhats. By the way, I love the little orbs surrounding the hat in picture 5 - a trick of the light, or something else? And WrightStuff, I am sure you looked divine in your little headpiece (love those too!) Don't listen to what others say...

Whenever I put on a hat, I feel like a different person altogether! It's again the time of year for accessories and I love them.

I too love hats. They always make me relax and not take myself so seriously. I wore a nordic knit hat today (really cold) with earflaps and it transported me to a bit of a more magical day- love this post!

This is a great post - hats are wonderful though I don't wear them often, mostly I go for flowers ala Frida Kahlo. Ceremonial and decorative hats are fun to make; my mother made a hat with hand painted fabric, silk flowers and a plastic dinosaur, it's a little heavy but fun to wear!

Dear Victoria, I love hats too and for all the magical reasons you mentioned. I love the thought of becoming a different person with each hat I put on. Now that it's cold once again I'm so excited to hunt in my closet for my favorite hats. Thank you for the enchanting post and pictures.
