Beautiful post Kiki...when I was out and about last week, I couldn't help but be smitten by the sight of giant sunflowers against the blue sky - just makes me happy...so of course I just had to take a photo...your sunflowers look beautiful in that blue vase. I happen to have a very large painting of a sunflower on my fireplace...It is called "Ode to Joy". I had it painted many years ago....and it is still one of my favorite pieces.

This is such a beautiful post and I truly love Sunflowers as they just make me Happy! I am not Leo however my daughter is and I was not aware that this is her flower too. The bright yellow sunflowers in the blue vase are just perfect as blue is my absolute favorite color. Your photos are superb. One of my favorite gifts came when after an really intense acting class. One of my fellow student actors during break, gifted me with one beautiful Sunflower.
Every time I see a Sunflower, I smile. They are truly ambassadors of the Sun.
Here in California we have entire fields of sunflowers and their energy and brilliance really capture the viewer. Up close they are mesmerizing. These are beautiful photos capturing their power and place in our lives. Your posts always lift me up!

Sunflowers are one flower that resides in my garden and through time we were gifted by a baby woodpecker taking shelter under it's umbrella head.Then the following year after a snow storm looking out the window I discovered the beauty of the sunflower even when dead and faded, it still lived under the blanket of snow.And finally the day came for our dear Elly ( our big fat house cat ) to depart this world...it was November.The following summer a sunflower started to grow right above Elly's grave but to my astonishment the sunflower wasn't just one but many on one plant. Elly remembered us. Sunflowers are magical. Thanks for sharing this lovely post Kiki.
