Periwinkles are divine! I wish I was an ancient oak surrounded by a ring of those beautiful dusky purple periwinkles! :)

The periwinkles are pretty but the hydrangeas are just luscious and beautiful.
there are few colors more beautiful than periwinkle -- thank you for this plethora of purple - the color of kings (and of course, queens!) just the healing i needed today to feel better from a nasty cold :-(

Hi, Kiki! I was vacationing at the Gulf of Mexico two weeks ago; I brought canvas and watercolors for play. I added sand and shells to the canvas for fun. When I crushed up the white, pink, yellow, purple and blue periwinkle shells (already open - no live ones) and mixed with the clear paint medium, the color that develped was -- PERIWINKLE "blue." I was knocked out. What came first, the shell name or the color? Or, the flower! Magic, all of it! Peace. Brianne
I love periwinkle! I once lived in a house surrounded by periwinkle, and there amidst the flowers, I saw the most amazing fairy I've ever seen! Your post took me back to that magical moment... :)

Oh Kiki....your photos are wonderful as always....I do have to interject one thought into here though. Your "prop cabinet" must be gigantic or you must have incredible storage at your home. I don't think I have ever seen a blog with such lovely items constantly on display.

Periwinkle is such a magical plant and you have created a post of her pure magic! I don't know much about her except that she draws me to her. I have periwinkle growing by my front door. The color of her flower so harmonious to look at and the green of her leaves so perfect!
