Oh my...I have not been by to visit in a while..>So glad I did this morning. Always a breath of calm comes over me when I see all your lovely photography and kind words. Have a good weekend Kiki! Thank for sharing with us all today! Be Well
Good morning Kiki...Oh my......how lovely your spot is today...I see you changed things a bit. My first husband was a musician....in fact music was his life...so it was a little hard on the relationship. Nevertheless, seeing your lovely photos and words today brought back kind memories of him. I still have his acoustic guitar.
He passed away eight years ago....much too young....the world lost a kind soul.

You are such a poet Victoria. I love the photos and your beautiful words. And thanks, always, for your visits and uplifting comments.
Beautiful post!!
Who knows how to enjoy music is happy and who knows to interpret it is a messenger of the gods ....xo
What a happy memory for you! My old friend played guitar and has since moved to a new place. I miss that!
My daughter used to play her flute in high school and I miss that too.
I am so grateful for you bringing up these fond memories!
What a gorgeous post and tribute to your mother. The accordian is such a fabulous instrument!!! I am sure much beautiful music has come from this beloved instrument. Thank you for sharing such a lovely memory. xoxo
Beautiful post my friend! Your mom is smiling! I think without music, life would be boring! Music is everywhere, we just have to listen!
Such an enchanting post - I adore music. Play the piano and violin, too. Warmly wish you a delightful weekend with music and love. xx
My mom plays the piano, her favorites are playing classical music. Listening and watching her play is amazing. I can't wait for her to play my little one.
I love the idea of all the history in the songs that this instrument has played.
It looks like you mom's accordion is an perfect condition! What a treasure to have! It looks like a difficult instrument to play!
Unfortunately, my family is not very musical...on either side. Me? I'm musically handicapped. Though the funny part is, I have an ear for good, quality music, I just can't play any! Ha! Ha!
Though I can't play music from another time or era, I love listening to it! The 1940's Big Band Music, Motown from the 1950's, Classical music form Mozart's day!
Great post! Hope you have a sparkly weekend :)
I have an affinity to these beautiful instruments...they just make me smile. Music is in my blood, although I don't play an instrument anymore. (For a time I learned the organ and the flute, but I didn't have the self discipline to continue). Both my girls are musical - Georgia plays guitar, and Abby has the voice of an angel - there is always music in my home - I love the power it has over our moods. Beautiful post as always darling friend - it is so peaceful here x
Oh wow, how beautiful. It looks like it is in a great condition! And of course your mother would be talented too! I bet it runs in the family.
A poet and artist's true heart is expressed always through the reverberating sounds of music. A very beautiful post Victoria.... as always!
I LOVE accordions. My father played one as a little boy.
Your posts and images often evoke feelings of times past, my friend.
What a beautiful memory, and as always such gorgoeus images to. I have the sounds of my Grandad playing in my memory, he played the accordian many moons ago, it always filled us with smiles.
Sooo beautiful golden accordeon and tribute to your mother. Bright and so warm colors. Happy Autumn to you !
A beautiful tribute to your Mother and her wonderful instrument. (I see where you get your Gypsy spirit)! I love older instruments particularly Middle Eastern and Celtic .There is such craftsmanship and magic that emanates from them. Thank you for sharing this beauty!
My beautiful friend, Kiki....how I've missed you and all your beautiful words and pictures and peace that you share! I've been so busy lately with so many things spinning, my little blog has been quietly waiting my return. And your special places I've missed tremendously! I must tell you the magic you share with so many others is so appreciated. You are magic...this post is magic...and even though I haven't been about, I think of you often. Thank you for stopping by and I will be back for a dose of light and peace very soon...hugs, Sheila
Hi there,
Thanks to Anna’s great Practical Magic blog party website I know that you are taking part in the event. I have pondered how to participate and thought it would be neat to post anonymously people’s thoughts and/or secrets regarding the movie. Sites which inspired me are:
Post Secret
Walt Disney Confessions
Those thoughts or secrets could e.g. be “I have already watched the movie 1,000 times,” “I wish I had a sister like Gilly,” “The aunts’ house is my dream house,” “I have dreamt about Jimmy” etc. Anything which comes to your mind when you think of “Practical Magic.”
If you feel like helping me out, be sure to send me your thought/secret as soon as possible at swappinghowdies@yahoo.de. Of course, I handle each “confession” anonymously. And – please nothing x-rated!
Greetings from Germany,
Birgit
Just beautiful Victoria! What an gorgeous accordian and you did it proud with your magic of photography!
Beautiful accordion! I wish I could hear your mother play - her music "sounds" divine.
