This series was done on a whim,

a knock at the door

My father with a basket full of eggplants

So of course... that is pure eye-candy to me

I tumbled them down onto the chaise -lounge ..grabbed my camera

as the sun was shining... the reds were coming through

so I added a bottle  of nearly finished red wine 

and a beautiful tray nearby

the magic began!

I love to see how random objects spark together

This series felt very romantic and dramatic to me

I love the bold strong colors.

playing...dancing..singing

especially when we stayed

in Italy with family

all summer long..

These bring me straight back to that time..

The small leather strap is worn and weathered

yet the beautiful wooden carved castanets

still shine to me

Simple treasures

stir magic

in the heart

What childhood treasure do you still have and cherish?

(which reminds me ..

these ones actually belong to my sister...

I'l have to give them back now!)
